After last issue, we are so happy to be able to share some updates about our University of Chester training sessions. Ros and Mark have been working with a wonderful group of nursing students through their creative health module. Here is what Ros and Mark had to say about their time working with
the Chester students. 'We've had a really busy but fantastic month working with music and nursing students, delivering training sessions in Chester and Warrington for the University of Chester nursing students. We have also hosted training workshops and observation visits for music students at the RMCH. Working with the nursing students is hugely exciting as we know that they will go into their careers understanding just how important music can be in hospital spaces, and gained foundation knowledge of best practices and approaches in creative health. Students told us: 'This is the best session we've had' '[The session made me feel] free like a butterfly' 'Music is so much more than playing or singing. It gives children a voice [and] can be therapeutic for children, families and staff’
